Vision (Aspirations)

APSSA's vision is for all practitioners in Student Affairs to value evaluation as an intrinsic and integral component of their work and to have both the conceptual understanding and practical skills to draw on evaluation in providing quality programs and services that are of merit to students and value to the University of Illinios at Urbana-Champaign.


Mission

APSSA's mission is to build the capacity of Student Affairs practitioners  to conceptualize and carry out credible evaluation activities that enable them to strengthen their programs and services in accordance with the values of learning, development and engagement in transforming the lives of students.


Strategic Initiatives

Build an interactive relationship with each Student Affairs department to engage in ongoing conversations as to their various evaluation needs.

 

Provide a wide variety of developmental training sessions and workshops to address various evaluation interests and needs of departmental staff and projects.

 

Facilitate communication within as well as across departments and assist documenting their understanding and utilization of evaluation resources, their meaningfulness and usefulness.
